Lycetts Bloodstock division is the specialist subsidiary of the Lycetts Group that arranges insurance for horses and all equine related business and activity. Our staff have a passionate interest in horses which enables Lycetts to give its clients a very personal service and the benefit of a comprehensive knowledge of the bloodstock industry.

As market leaders we have considerable negotiating power with insurers and access for our clients to the services of other leading specialists, such as vets, transport companies, bloodstock agents, lawyers and accountants.

Our offices in Newmarket, Marlborough and through Lycetts Ireland Ltd in Newbridge, Co. Kildare, insure many of Europe's leading owners. Our London office provides access to the UK insurance market for Lycetts' network of wholesale clients in Europe, USA, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

In June 2008 Lycetts acquired the Marlborough based Bloodstock and Stud Investment Company, which has traded as BASIC Ltd since it was founded in 1960. The BASIC name will continue as a trading name of Lycetts.

Hamish Scott-Dalgleish, who founded BASIC Ltd, continues to run the business as usual from the Marlborough office, assisted as before by Alex Gay.

In addition, Richard Chugg from Lycetts' London office and the broking team, headed up by Ben Leigh and Cathy Boltman, previously located in our Oxford office have relocated to bolster the level of bloodstock broking expertise in Marlborough.
