Our clients include tree surgery and forestry contractors and consultants who require tree surgeons insurance, forestry insurance and arborist insurance, as well as landscaping, ground maintenance and coppicing businesses.

We offer these industries the full range of professional insurance services, including cover for public/products liability, employers liability, commercial legal expenses, directors and officers liability, professional indemnity, income protection, and personal accident and sickness.

We are also experts in specialist cover for forestry plant equipment (harvesters/ forwarders), all risks on owned equipment, hired-in plant equipment, and commercial and special motor vehicles.

"Our arbcover team has earned valuable knowledge of the arboreal industries, which is reflected in the niche products and services we are able to offer clients."

How to claim tree surgery, arboriculture and forestry insurance

It is a condition of all insurance policies that incidents that may result in claims are reported to insurers without delay. If such incidents are not reported within an acceptable timescale (usually 30 days from the time of the incident), your insurers may refuse to indemnify you.

In the event of a claim in relation to a commercial business policy, you should contact your Lycetts account executive/handler as soon as possible. When completing claim forms, ensure the whole form is completed as far as possible and it is signed on your behalf or your company’s behalf by an authorised person. For further detailed information relating to claims concerning injury to employees or third parties, damage to third party property, loss or damage to own property, personal accident and sickness or motor accidents, please click here.

To transfer or not? When it comes to Defined Benefit pension schemes, that is the question.

February 2, 2017

Defined Benefit (DB) Pensions are the Rolls Royce of pensions. These gold-plated pensions give a defined level of inflation-proofed income in retirement. However, like a Rolls Royce they are very expensive, which is why most employers no longer offer them to new employees.

Personal Tax update for the 2017/2018 tax year

January 25, 2017

Compared to George Osborne’s statements and budgets in 2015 the new Chancellor had few surprises in last year’s Autumn Statement for investors and savers.
