We Know Education Insurance

Lycetts has an established portfolio of clients in the education sector and manages education insurance for a number of independents, free schools, academies and boarding schools.

We have specialist knowledge of the education sectors insurance needs as well as unique access to a range of limited and niche insurance products for the education market.

In addition to core liability requirements, we provide education cover for activities on and off school premises, including worldwide cover for sports and other leisure pursuits, and extended professional liability cover.

"The education market continues to evolve with the introduction of free schools and academy structures. What remains is the need for all schools, regardless of their funding, to be fully protected; we make sure our education clients are fully covered, passing on the benefits of our good relationships with insurers in the process"

How to claim education insurance.

It is a condition of all insurance policies that incidents that may result in claims are reported to insurers without delay. If such incidents are not reported within an acceptable timescale (usually 30 days from the time of the incident), your insurers may refuse to indemnify you.

In the event of a claim in relation to a commercial business policy, you should contact your Lycetts account executive/handler as soon as possible. When completing claim forms, ensure the whole form is completed as far as possible and it is signed on your behalf or your company’s behalf by an authorised person. For further detailed information relating to claims concerning injury to employees or third parties, damage to third party property, loss or damage to own property, personal accident and sickness or motor accidents, please click here.

February 2, 2017

Defined Benefit (DB) Pensions are the Rolls Royce of pensions. These gold-plated pensions give a defined level of inflation-proofed income in retirement. However, like a Rolls Royce they are very expensive, which is why most employers no longer offer them to new employees.

Personal Tax update for the 2017/2018 tax year

January 25, 2017

Compared to George Osborne’s statements and budgets in 2015 the new Chancellor had few surprises in last year’s Autumn Statement for investors and savers.
