Horse Transit Insurance

Due to the flexible nature of the policies that Lycetts can offer, we are able to arrange short term horse transit insurance for horses travelling all over the world.

Your horse can be insured for:

  • 12 months including transit;
  • 30 days including transit;
  • ‘stable to stable’ transit – which starts when you horse leaves its stable of origin and finishes when it arrives at its stable of destination; and/or
  • tarmac to tarmac transit – which is only used when flying horses to exotic locations (such as China) and starts when you horse boards the plan and finishes when the horse leaves the plane.

We are often asked to arrange horse transit insurance at very short notice, but whether your horse is travelling by road, sea or air, we will need detailed information about the route they are taking, including information about any stop offs.
