The funding will be provided over three years, with £25,000 awarded annually to help the charity transform the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the county.
Founded with the aim of improving childhoods, Yorkshire Children’s Charity supports children affected by sickness, disability and financial deprivation, from the Yorkshire Dales to inner-city communities.
In just four years, the charity has raised more than £8 million and supported more than 58,000 children.
The funding partnership reflects Lycetts’ commitment to supporting charitable organisations that make a meaningful difference in the communities in which it operates. With our Yorkshire office based in Catterick, we were keen to support a charity with deep regional roots and a clear focus on helping children and families facing difficult circumstances.
Over the course of the partnership, we will also look to support the charity beyond the financial contribution, with colleagues from our Yorkshire team exploring volunteering opportunities and other ways to assist with the charity’s work and events.
As a business with a strong presence in the region, we are proud to support an organisation that is rooted in Yorkshire and focused on making life better for children and families who need help. We look forward to playing an active role in supporting the charity’s work over the next three years.
“Yorkshire Children’s Charity has seen rapid growth and success over the last four years, and this has only been possible because of incredible people who share our vision to make Yorkshire a better place for our children and young people to live,” said Charlotte Farrington, Yorkshire Children’s Charity founder.
“Our partnerships are critical to achieving this and we couldn’t be happier or prouder to have Lycetts and Benefact Group join us on this journey.
“As a company they embody everything we stand for, with philanthropy forming the foundation of the organisation.
“We are really looking forward to seeing where this partnership goes over the next three years and introducing Lycetts and Benefact Group into our incredible family of partnerships and supporters.”
The donation is part of Benefact Group’s Partnership Funding programme, which provides longer-term funding to charities across the UK and Ireland.
