Charlotte Alexander

Charlotte is an award-winning team chaser who has competed at the highest level of the sport for more than 20 years and currently rides with two teams at Open Level; Team Rideaway and Boring Gorings, the oldest team on the circuit.

Charlotte is sponsored by Lycetts for her eventing activities and has recently completed her first 2* and Intermediate with Saphir Du Rheu and is now aiming for 3* with him this season.

“I have been extremely lucky in having had some very classy ex-racehorses to compete, including Denman, Earthmover, Silviniaco Conti and Kahrayn and I am now training up Saphir Du Rheu. I am fiercely competitive, love winning, but am only truly happy when the horses come off the lorry at the end of the day sound and happy.

“I look after my horses myself and I know what hard work it is to ensure they are fit and sound for competing at top level every Sunday for 10 weeks on the trot; I relate to my clients when they have issues with their competition/racehorses. I understand the frustration over injuries, having to deal with losses and equally the joy of winning.”

Charlotte is part of our Equine team based at our Marlborough office advising on all aspects of equine and bloodstock insurance with specific expertise in the racing sector.
