Pedal for Purpose puts charity in motion

April 13th 2026

Could raising money for charity be as simple as hopping on a bike?

Pedal for Purpose is a new Lycetts initiative designed to turn every kilometre pedalled into support for charity.
At the centre of it is a static exercise bike – but this is about much more than cycling. It is about creating an engaging way for people to support good causes and be part of something bigger.

The bicycle will travel with us to events across the UK, with clients, prospects and colleagues being invited to get in the saddle and pedal.
For every kilometre completed, Lycetts will donate £1 to charity, with the Benefact Group matching the total amount raised, doubling the impact of every ride.

Supporting charities make a difference
Pedal for Purpose will raise money for a number of charities that reflect the communities and causes close to our hearts.
Among those set to benefit are the Country Trust, the British Eventing Support Trust, the MND Association and the Speakers Trust.
We also want the initiative to open the door to wider public involvement.

As part of Pedal for Purpose, people will be invited to nominate another charity for support through a short digital form: https://www.lycetts.co.uk/pedal-for-purpose/
One nominated charity will then be selected at random, helping us to support even more worthy causes.

Bringing our purpose to life
Pedal for Purpose reflects who we are and what we stand for.
The Benefact Group is the UK’s third largest corporate donor over a decade. Since 2014, it has donated more than £250 million to charities across the UK – and that commitment continues.
With Pedal for Purpose, we are taking this mission on the road , brings it to life in an interactive way.

Get involved
We are excited to take Pedal for Purpose on the road and see how much support it can generate over the months ahead.
When you see our bike at an event, we hope you will take part. Whether you manage a quick burst or a longer ride, every kilometre counts.
You can next find us at the Dalemain World Marmalade Awards & Festival in Cumbria, or at Badminton Horse Trials in Gloucestershire.
