Thoresby 2026 Grantham Cup

Eventing returns to Thoresby Park this Easter, and once again we’ll be at the heart of the action as headline sponsor of the 2026 Grantham Cup.

We’ll be presenting a £1,000 prize to the highest-placed Lycetts-insured rider, celebrating excellence among the country’s top horse-and-rider combinations.

Taking place from 3rd to 5th April 2026, the Eventing Spring Carnival has established itself as a key fixture in the eventing calendar, attracting a strong field of experienced competitors as they fine-tune preparations for the international 5* season.

The Lycetts Grantham Cup will culminate on Saturday 4th April, promising a thrilling showcase of talent in the grounds of Thoresby Park.

We’ve supported the Grantham Cup since 2013, underlining our long-standing commitment to the equestrian community. Over the years, the competition has proved a springboard for riders who have gone on to achieve success at the very highest level, including Badminton winners and Olympic medallists.

Our £1,000 award recognises the skill and dedication of Lycetts-insured riders competing at the top of the sport, and we look forward to celebrating their success once again this Easter.

In addition to our continued sponsorship, we’ll be hosting a new charity-led initiative called Pedal for Purpose. This interactive challenge invites riders, visitors and staff to take to a static bike, with Lycetts donating to charity for every kilometre completed.

We are also partnering with British Polo Gin Events to create a bespoke cocktail for the event, which will be available across their three bars at Thoresby Park. For every cocktail served, both Lycetts and British Polo Gin will each donate £1 to the British Eventing Support Trust, with Benefact Group – our ultimate owner – match funding Lycetts’ contribution.

Together, these initiatives reflect our wider commitment to supporting the equestrian community and the charities connected to it.
