Lycetts is delighted to announce our new headline sponsorship with the National Garden Scheme North East, a charity dedicated to providing access to some of the UK’s most beautiful gardens while raising funds for important causes. This sponsorship is particularly special to us, as we insure many of the stunning gardens featured in the scheme’s open days, helping to protect these cherished spaces for their owners and visitors alike.
In addition to our sponsorship we will also be launching an exciting initiative to generate additional fundraising income for the NGS which will run throughout the summer months. As part of the Benefact Group, we are part of a unique organisation within the financial services sector which donates all available profits to charity which over the last 10 years amounts to in excess of £250 million. We are the third largest UK corporate donor over a decade*.
In keeping with our charitable ethos we will be running a raffle for a wide range of fantastic garden related prizes with the aim of raising up to £5,000 in ticket sales, which will be match funded by our parent company. Hopefully we can add an additional £10,000 to the NGS fundraising target in the region.
Supporting a charity with strong northern roots aligns closely with our values especially as our Head Office is located in the centre of Newcastle. We look forward to attending several events throughout the year (dates below) and celebrating the joy that these gardens bring to so many.
