Triple triumph for Lycetts at UK Broker Awards 2026

We’re delighted to be celebrating a hat-trick of accolades at this year’s UK Broker Awards, with two award wins and a Highly Commended recognition.

Organised by industry publication Insurance Age, the awards celebrate excellence across the UK insurance broking sector.

Among our winners was Amber Cartlidge, an account executive in our specialist bloodstock team, who was crowned Young Insurance Broker of the Year.

Amber joined Lycetts in 2023 as a trainee, with no previous insurance experience, having previously worked in the horse racing industry. In just three years, she has progressed from trainee account handler to account handler and then account executive.

Combining her equestrian knowledge with impressive technical expertise and a strong commitment to clients, Amber has also been helping to raise awareness of important issues affecting the racing industry, including employers’ responsibilities and liability risks.

Her success marks the second consecutive year that a Lycetts employee has won the UK Broker Awards’ young broker accolade, highlighting our commitment to nurturing and developing emerging talent.

There was also recognition for the Lycetts claims team, which was Highly Commended in the Insurance Broker Claims Team of the Year category.

The recognition reflects the team’s commitment to providing a personal, hands-on service, helping clients navigate what can often be difficult and stressful situations.

Completing our triple success, our specialist animal trades insurance business, Cliverton, was named Schemes Insurance Broker of the Year, recognising its longstanding expertise in providing tailored insurance for niche markets.

With more than 50 years’ experience, Cliverton specialises in insurance for animal-related trades, rural and equestrian businesses, and smallholdings. Its success follows another year of strengthening its specialist insurance offering and delivering high standards of customer service.
