Lycetts, the leading independent rural insurance brokers, has relocated its office from rural Shropshire to the centre of Shrewsbury, to provide its range of farm, estate and private client insurance services throughout the region.

The new opening at Abbot's House signals strong growth for the insurance broker despite difficult economic conditions for UK businesses in the past 18 months. The new office is a strategic move by Lycetts and part of the company's plans to consolidate its trading base in the West Midlands and Welsh Marches.

The company is continuing to develop its client base, especially in the farming and estate sector, providing specialist insurance advice to farms and landowners. This sector is not the only area of expertise for Lycetts, which also provides a range of services to private clients including advice for household insurance, as well as travel and equine cover.

The new office will be looking to increase its services to land owners, farmers and private clients in and around the region. "This expansion is testament to the success we've achieved so far and pays dividends to the staff at Lycetts who have worked hard to grow the business.

As well as expanding geographically, we are also looking to employ more staff, and a recruitment drive will get underway in due course," said Philip Rogers - Coltman, who is heading up the new office in Shrewsbury. "The new location will provide us with the necessary base to do this and will strengthen our reach throughout the West Midlands and Wales."
"Despite tough market conditions, it's been a positive year for Lycetts and we are pleased with the progress we've made," added Philip. "As the country recovers from the recession, we hope to build on this success and continue to grow and attract new clients."

Lycetts is one of the top 50 independent insurance brokers in the country. The company has strong commercial insurance and financial services divisions based at its Newcastle headquarters with a further ten regional offices stretching from Exeter in the south west to Edinburgh in the north plus one in Ireland.

While the company is recognised nationally as an expert in farm and estates insurance, highlighted by its latest office opening, its private client service has also been growing steadily which will be a key focus for the business as it looks to expand further.
